The road to recovery (and glory) Inside the training centre turning wounded Ukrainian soldiers into paralympians

In the Carpathian Mountains in Western Ukraine is a special rehabilitation center for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. It’s attached to a training camp for para-nordic athletes who will compete in the Winter Paralympic Games.

Wendell Steavenson went there to discover how soldiers and athletes benefit from the proximity and the potential this powerful experiment has for Ukraine and the world.
